The trip was good, but I'm so glad to be home.
Last week Terrance and I traveled to Vale, Oregon (my hometown) t
o visit family and friends. Before Terrance was born Joe and I would usually just drive since it only took us 5 or 6 hours. But we tried it when she was about 3 months old and it took us 10 hours. I'll never do it again. So last week we flew and counting traveling time to and from the airports plus the flight it was only about 3 hours. Not counting the jet lag and the motion sickness from the plane, it was so much better than driving.
I met my mom for coffee, as always, the day after we flew in. It's a great little shop called Jolts n' Juice and has the best espresso, a little pricey, but the best! I snapped this picture of Terrance while we were there. Cute, huh? Yes, she loves the bunny. I'm absolutely amazed at how quickly she's gaining strength. Literally, it was like one day she couldn't sit up without flopping over and the next day she could.
About half of the time that we were there we stayed with my sister and the other half we stayed with my best friends mom (who I also claim as my own). She absolutely adores Terrance, as any grandma would, and loves on her every second that she can. Terrance took her first drink of water out of a cup with her. =) So sweet!!
My most recent scrappy news is that I recently became a Rusty Pickle chef. I'm absolutely ecstatic! It'll be "official" in January and as part of my duties I've chosen www.cropaddict.com as my chef "home" site and will be hosting challenges there every other month. I'll also be hosting challenges and other fun things here on my blog. =) Be sure to check back and join in monthly to win great prizes from Rusty Pickle!
Hi Alycia, love your blog.
I'm a scrapper for hire, too, but digital only. Do you take on freelance work for clients, or are you exclusively doing work for Rusty Pickle? I could send work your way if you like; now and then I get requests for paper scrapbooking, which I don't do anymore.
I'll be following your blog. Your baby daughter is adorable!!
