My sister updated her blog. She totally redesigned her header (way cute!) and I think I'm now going to talk her into making me one. =) She also posted the two layouts that she created for the Craft warehouse DT call and they're absolutely stunning...definitely worth taking a look at.
One of my best friends, Mandy, and her husband, Brent, visited last weekend. They brought
Terrance this gorgeous little rocking chair that they built for her. It's pretty cute, huh? Mandy has been telling me about it for months and I never imagined it to look this good. Terrance loves it! I told them that they should sell them, I'd buy one. They said they'd prefer to gift them. They're too nice.
Oh, so I just got off the phone with Alaina from Rusty Pickle and learned that my classes at the convention will have 75 people in them. Yikes, that's a lot of scrapbookers! As I've said before though, I'm really excited....nervous, but excited! =)
And I finally did it. I called JC Penney and scheduled a day for us to have our pictures taken next month.
Also, the time of year that I look forward to most is nearly here! *a quick intro*My husband and I are originally from the itsy bitsy town in Eastern Oregon called Vale. After we were married in 2004, my husband's unit was mobililzed to begin training for their duty in Iraq. I then moved up to Salem to live with my sister. And when Joe finished his deployment in November 2005 he came home to me here and we've never left. So anyways, my point is that all of our best friends are still on that side of the state and we don't get to see them very often. *this is where it gets relevant again* So every Spring they come and visit us. This year we're going to Oceanside and staying here. After looking for a beach house for weeks and not finding a single one that I liked (I had to have an ocean front house) I stumbled across this little gem. The location and the price make this an awesome house and I made our final reservations today! This, of all things, is the one thing that I look forward to the most each year.
Last year we stayed in Lincoln City in a gorgeous 2 story home that sat high on a cliff t
hat overlooked the ocean. And while the view was breathtaking (sea lions, whales and all) any easy beach access from our house was non-existent. We finally resorted to hopping fences to get to some stairs that led down to the beach. So, this year beach access was a huge factor in finding a house.
This is a picture from last year. There's the house (the tiny spec of blue) and over to the right are the stairs we took.
Alright, I think I've rambled enough for one day. And Terrance is awake from her nap.
Have a great day!
I went to see your Sis's new header and LOs, Totally awesome! Lucky you, I'm sure yours will be awesome! I like your new avatar! What a beautiful chair! It would be so cool to be able to make things like that!
hugs!
