Moving on...
Since I received my box of product from Rusty Pickle last week to create samples for CHA I've been running in circles trying to complete them and get my homework done and some how manage to take care of my family. Well, I can tell you that I've accomplished everything that needed to be done. This morning I finished my last sample and I packaged them all up and raced them down to the UPS store to be over nighted to Chicago. Yay! I'm so excited for these products to debut, they're going to be such a hit. *sigh* I wish I was there...maybe next year.
Now, before I share with you my favorite project that I finished, let me tell you about it. I was given the new Brass Knuckles line and the arrow shaped album to work with and at first, even though the paper is super cool, I thought, "what am I going to do with this?" And I thought and I thought and I thought...and then I eventually came up with the idea to do a tribute sort of album and include info of all my favorite classic rock bands...Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Who, The Eagles, Johnny Cash, CCR, you know...the good ones. But then, as I was creating my Candy Land sample, I was so inspired by the paper (because it's so reminiscant of the Beatles' psychadelic era...Sgt. Peppers, Magical Mystery Tour, Yellow Submarine. etc) that I decided
to do dedicate all the pages in my album to them. And so I did. Using Brass Knuckles, Candy Land and loads of other Rusty Pickle products I created this super fun, whimsy and some what psychadelic album that I really, really *love*. I heart the Beatles-Paul is my favorite.
The pages are full of mostly bits of song lyrics, some quotes and then some interesting facts about the group. And do you want to know what the funnest part of making this album was? That I was jamming out to their music the whole time I was working on it.
And you know what else? There's even a blue meanie.
Sometime tomorrow I'll post my last project that I did using their new Halloween line, Costume Party.
Have a great day!
That is really, really cool, I love it! I was 8 when the Beatles stormed the U.S. and just as caught up in it as any other girl. I've had a life-long love of the Beatles and their music. Great job!
