that's what my yoga instructor prefers to be called. pepper because it's her last name and, yoga because she obviously loves it! she's been practicing since the 70's when about yogi's were doing it on sheepskins rather than mats. she's a true fountain of knowledge when it comes to the practice and it's really exciting being in her class.
my last yoga instructor was more of a model. she demonstrated poses and the class copied her. she didn't lecture or share any of the knowledge that went with the poses which yogi's call, asanas and I guess, I just really appreciate that pepper does since it's something that i'll be doing for the rest of my life. =)
moving on.
i love calculus. and i do not love statistics.
And some good stuff:
This is Jenny and, her husband, David. She's hired me to scrapbook for her and this is the first
page. She's sent me her wedding album to do first and it's practically going to put itself together. Her pictures are pure inspiration: a gorgeous bride and groom, an AMAZING location, awesome photography and her wedding colors (which are slightly reflected on this page) are all going to make this a very fun album to do.
The story behind this page:
Beginning 7 days before their wedding day, each day David gave Jenny a card and in them he would right a numbered list that corresponded to the x number of day before the wedding. So, in the "Day 7 card" he wrote, "Dear Jenny, Here are seven reasons why I want to marry you." And so on and so forth for each day. I know, so amazingly sweet, right?!
To incorporate the cards directly into the page (with out actually having them on it), I took a few quotes and journaled with them down the edge of the layout and under the picture. I then scanned the actual cards themselves, resized them, printed them and made a sort of a book (which is attached to the orange and black scallop at the top of the page) and slipped it into a pocket behind the blue background.
I've got a page in progress that's for their engagement story, of which is fairytale like and SOO
romantic! I'm waiting on a picture and some journaling to have it done and will be able to post it.
And, finally, I've been tagged by 3 girls that say they love my blog!
They're are all fellow scrappers and are full of inspiration and creativity: Pomaika`i, Jane and fellow chef, Brenda!
Thanks girls!
And here are 7 blogs that I can label as ones that I love:
